As the part of a national tour, organised by Christain Aid in association with the Fairtrade Foundation, academic and theologian Dr Robert Beckford will be talking about his journey to Ghana to find out why a country so rich in natural resources remains trapped in poverty. Renewal will be supporting this Bristol leg of the tour which seeks to highlight the need for trade justice for Africa. The event will be hosted at the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum.
